BCI Truck is seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team. You’ll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing Sitrak heavy-duty trucks to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and performing at their best for our customers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on Sitrak trucks
- Diagnosing and repairing faults across engines, drivetrains, braking systems, electrical systems, and ancillary components
- Performing major and minor mechanical repairs to manufacturer specifications
- Using diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Maintaining accurate service records and job documentation
- Upholding high workshop safety and housekeeping standards
What we’re looking for:
- Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Mechanic (Certificate III or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working on heavy-duty commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Experience with electronic diagnostic tools and software
- Current driver’s licence (HR licence desirable)
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in quality workmanship
